The Ohio Meat Goat Association has been sponsoring Junior ABGA (JABGA) shows since 2004, and the Ohio Boer Goat Association will continue to do the same. These shows are sanctioned by the Junior American Boer Goat Association (JABGA) and their rules govern. The JABGA shows are open to any youth that is a current member of the JABGA.

Prizes and class money are awarded at each of the Ohio Boer Goat Association's JABGA shows for individual placings, division champions and overall champions.

To reward junior youth for their hard work and dedication in showing Boer goat breeding animals, a Premier Junior Exhibitor award was implemented in 2006. The Premier Junior Exhibitor will be awarded in 2009 but the point system will be different. Please read below for details. To be eligible for this award a JABGA member must also be a current junior member of the Ohio Boer Goat Association.

New for 2009 - A new point system will be implemented at each JABGA/OHBGA show.

Points will be based on class placings for each of the breeding animals shown.

Points are totaled at the end of the show for all of the OHBGA junior members and prizes will be awarded at each show, not at the end of the summer.
